I posted this on the thread about the YouTube influencer ObGyn who claims sex is assigned at birth. She complains about this same piece by Trever Noah.

This person, Doctor Danielle Jones, is a practicing ObGyn, who seems to be becoming a successful YouTube propagandist (500,000 hits on her tripe) despite apparently knowing nothing about biological sex.

This is from her Twitter @mamadoctorjones dated Sept 12th - she's complaining about Trevor Noah mocking gender reveal parties.

Mama Doctor Jones:

Get that, ladies of SAIDIT GC? Mama Doctor Jones hopes that she is never unwilling to learn or listen about ANYTHING.

So let's tell Mama Doctor Jones about Abigail Shriers's book IRREVERSIBLE DAMAGE, about how girls are being sucked into the transgender craze.

Let's send Mama Doctor Jones the link to r/detrans, the Reddit sub in which young people sucked into the transgender trend discuss how their lives have been torn apart.

Let's send Mama Doctor Jones a list of tests that determine the sex of a baby. Maybe offer to chip in and buy her an ultrasound machine.

Let's make sure that this doctor who claims she wants to listen and learn, listens and learns from us about how dangerous transitioning children is before she destroys even more young people's lives.

At least in the US, the comedians, even though most of them are deep-seated misogynists, might save us.

Chappelle and Noah, maybe because they're black and so the absurdity of castigating trans-racial while celebrating transgender, are both making the trans-racial/ trans-gender connection to their audiences. Good for them and for us.

But he says that we shouldn't have gender reveal parties until the kid is old enough to know it's gender. Isn't that buying into the whole gender ideology stuff? Am I missing something?

Yeah Trevor Noah has been on the pro-trans bandwagon for years. He says girls and women's concerns for dignity, privacy, safety and fairness are "absurd" coz the trans population is so small. We need to "get over it" he says.

In the clip below he uses a whole bunch of the usual disingenuous arguments and non sequitirs that TRAs employ to not address - and to actually divert attention away from - girls and women's valid concerns. He compares single sex facilities like loos and locker rooms to racial segregation of the Jim Crow and apartheid eras, and to discrimination against gays in the past. He also body shames a TV journalist for having a fat neck, and has a laugh about how this is "all about the penis."

He's totally unaware that for girls and women, it's also about males' prying and leering eyes, cocked ears (some get off hearing females pee), nosy noses sniffing about; and their pervy thoughts, autogynephilia, menstrual fetishes, spy cams and so on. What's more, the physical parts of males we girls and women are concerned about aren't just penises - it's male size, stature, strength, bone density and their fucking hands, which they can use to both to masturbate at us as well as do us terrible damage. He seems clueless that because of the size and grip strength of males hands, the average out-of-shape guy can easily choke a girl or woman to unconsciousness or death, or with a single punch to can break our jaw or eye socket and knock us out, rendering us utterly helpless and unable to cry out as he does whatever he wants.

Letting men in loos and showers with girls & women is "social progress" he says - and that girls and women just have to accept that sometimes "social progress" will "make you uncomfortable." But, he adds, too bad, coz "we've got to move forward even when it frightens you." He ends by saying it's time to think of the feelings of the poor "55 year-old transwoman" who wants in women's spaces.

It seems to me that Trevor Noah, who I often find irritating, is mocking the idea that a child can chose her gender.

Or at least that the same society that throws gender reveal parties also says that a child can chose her gender.

Or he's mocking the word gender and how sometimes it's used to mean biological sex and sometimes not.

But my thought is that he's mocking the idea that a child can chose their gender, because to him it means biological sex and is immutable.

But what is meant by "gender" here? My own sense is that Trevor Noah is simply reading a script to fill the airtime coz as a TV talk show host he's legally bound to put out a certain number of shows containing X minutes of content each week. Whereas Chapelle and Gervais aren't under such constraints; they are free to write, revise, try out and do their stand-up routines as they see fit, then to sell them as finished comedy specials. Noah has not thought about this deeply, but his previous toadying to the trans lobby shows he'll go whichever way the prevailing popular wind blows.

BTW, I think Noah is a talented comedian with a lot of insightful, instructive things to say especially about racial politics in SA and NA and the differences between different cultures. I distinctly recall coming across videos of some of his routines from before he became a big name in North America: I sent the links to everyone I know. But now he's an employee of ViacomCBS, so his wings have been clipped and he toes the fashionable party line.

I honestly think that some of these celebrities are simply doing what they need to do - mouthing this propaganda- in order to survive. I don't watch Noah, I'm just judging from the clip.

Whereas John Oliver and Jimmy Kimmel seem to be true believers. John Oliver especially, when he starts on his rants about transgenders I just think what a fucking moron and anything else he has to say, no matter how astute, I just turn off.

I know, it's so disappointing. And horrifying. I LOVED John Oliver on Jon Stewart's Daily Show and when he first started his own show.

I have always found John Oliver beyond irritating. Like nails on a chalkboard. And I know he's done some good and very needed investigative work, but I just eeeeergh.
