Because the sad thing is that #MeToo QUICKLY got overran with essentially being a political and business tool against other people and ultimately still failed because it ultimately depending on others to validate these issues. Pretty much any woman who tries to #MeToo a TiM or non-binary man instantly get shuts down as being trans/homophobic. The second #MeToo starts to become actually quite hard to wrestle with who is involved for the public, people drop their support for it and go back to "simply ignoring".

Heck even with the various companies and orgs that went on saying they are "fully #MeToo" pretty much only take a reactionary stance to it on waiting for it to be a large public statement rather than actually working on their internal environments.

It quickly felt like a witch-hunt occuring to anyone who ever did anything wrong.

Lol, calling people out on their harrassment is "a witch-hunt to anything who ever did anything wrong"? Don't want to get called out for rape or harrassment, don't rape or harrass. If you do rape or harrass, yes you may get called out on it. It's not difficult.

It seems like you're trying to conflate different things here. Perpetrators absolutely need to get called out. That's a whole different thing from "ree lesbians who don't sleep with men are transphobes" but you're trying to mix them up. Writing everything in bold does not mean you have a point.

The writing things in bold was an accident. Anyway, I agree that bad people need to be punished. But all the people I know IRL who have been subject to this whole thing had false allegations made against them. How I know this? Because people lied about them. And yes, it's the same thing as people being upset about lesbians being exlusive.
