"“some could be choosing to switch studying for work in a post pandemic economy”." This is what I have chosen to do. I have a business, but I am going to get a couple of more degrees.

I am not over 50, but I am near 40, and I am not being chosen for jobs because I am told I am overqualified and over-educated.

You youngins coming straight from college, trust me, you have it easier. My resume frightens employers. They've remarked on it. When I have more education and experience than any potential supervisor, I am seen as a threat.

What these women need to do is what I have done. Dumb down your resume. Remove education and work. It sucks, but also, change your female name to a male name on the resume itself. I did this twice to get jobs, and it was disgusting.

(I have worked in many fields, including programming, medical, and others).

I could not get an interview to save my life after my second miliatry job. Why? My female name. I would apply for programming positions and I was told outright they had no clerical positions open. Listen fuckers (I thought) I can run circles around you.

So I listed my name as the shortened, male version. Not everyone can get away with that. It is a psychology, peer reviewed fact, many studies over, that men are chosen first. Men are interviewed first. Males are hired first in academics. When people were given the exact same research studies to review them, women names were seen as incompetent, not knowing what they were doing, while males were thought to be all knowing and better at writing.

If trans want to larp us, even without that, feck em. Larp a man digitally. Get your foot in the door.
