Nope! What's it about / who is in it?

Did you Google it yet? I'm 2 hours late lol

Premise: Mrs. America is loosely based on and dramatizes the story of the movement to ratify the Equal Rights Amendment, and the unexpected backlash led by conservative activist Phyllis Schlafly, played by Blanchett. Through the eyes of the women of that era - both Schlafly and prominent second-wave feminists including Gloria Steinem, Betty Friedan, Shirley Chisholm, Bella Abzug and Jill Ruckelshaus - the series explores how one of the toughest battlegrounds in the culture wars of the 1970s helped give rise to the Moral Majority and permanently shifted the American political landscape.

I've never heard of Phyllis Schlafly. Cate Blanchett did a wonderful job portraying whoever she is. Lol

I have heard of almost all those women, except Bella Abzug! Thanks so much for the synopsis. Oh I haven't heard of Jill Ruckelshaus either! Yeah Phyllis is an interesting figure - people often say she's a "real life" Serena Joy type figure. Thanks so much, I won't even make you tell me where I can watch it <3

If you don't have Hulu, you can use VivaTV... be sure to use a VPN.

Gloria Steinem said there were a lot of complete falsehoods in the series, the main one being that Phyllis Schlafly influenced any votes. They make it appear that she had more power than what was actually true.

Maybe that's why I've never heard of her. Lol she wasn't very influential. My mom (60) was a second-wave feminist and don't remember her.
