But also, Dana Rivers, Karen White, Jessica Yaniv, the rape shelter in Canada, the many many murder and rape threats sent to women…

These things/incidents/crimes happened. They are easily looked up and I think pretty much all of the people who participate in this sub are well aware of who and what I referenced.

These aren’t hypotheticals or theoreticals… these are specific, easily looked up incidents.

There’s plenty of data to back this up. Because the shit actually happened. So, I guess I could just google their names and post links and link the terfisaslur site but honestly you’re probably the only person here who doesn’t get those references readily.

Eta- i went to link but actually a few of these were already linked by HP, so clearly you didn’t read what she linked or you did but don’t know how to argue around it

Yeah, so if you go to the subs homepage and click "comments" you will be able to see all the comments in the order in which they are posted. You have to go back to at least page two to see the relevant comments but you can see that I clearly asked for sources before being given any.

Lets just be very clear here though: you have no actual data, right? You have cherry picked anecdotes, and thats it.

Regardless of when the links were linked- she did link them before we started going back and forth now. So you’ve had ample time to read those links and understand what I was referring to, since as I said, many if not most of the situations I referenced were linked by her. So if you’d like me to link them again I can, but whether I do or don’t, these things still happened and you’re deflecting and avoiding addressing the point by trying to focus on who linked what and when.

Let’s just be very clear- information on everything I referenced is easily found. I’m not making a scientific or academic claim. I’m referencing an incident(s). You can look them up for yourself if you don’t know what I’m referring to.

We are talking about empathy. What the fuck data does anyone have on empathy?

I gave examples, some specific, some generally recurring. Maybe I took for granted that you’d heard of the incidents I referenced, since everyone else here knows of them. But if you don’t, you can easily look it up.

There’s a difference between making a claim that needs to be backed up and referencing a commonly known incident.

Yes and I was specifically commenting on the fact that your response to my asking for sources was that someone else had already provided me sources and how many more did I need? Do you really not understand my point here? I didnt ask for sources AFTER they had already provided sources.

Actually what would matter would be when I saw your comment asking for Links. And by the time I saw your comment asking for links, you’d been provided with several. So from what I could see, you had been given sources by the time I saw your comment. You could be right- but all this means is that I have a life and am not online all day long so I didn’t see your comment until after someone had already given you sources.

It’s not that deep and you’re focusing on it because like all Tras, you can’t argue around the main point so you pick at petty shit.

This is a waste of effort. You’re going out of your way to avoid addressing what matters.

If you’re not deflecting, then move on from the sources thing because you did get sources so why do you need them still? Get back to the point.

Its okay to admit that you were wrong, its weird to double down on the fact that you SAW the comment later when that really doesnt matter when youre accusing me of ignoring sources I had already gotten.

I saw your comment, replied. And saw a thread from hours before I saw your comment where someone linked you sources. To me, it looked like you’d had your convo with Hp well before ours. This is not a big deal. And it’s You that won’t move on. Not me.

Maybe this point isnt being addressed (again) because its just a strawman? Like do you really want me to say yeah youre so right trans people have no empathy for anyone else you sure got me? Believing that bathroom policies should reflect data means we dont have empathy for others youre so right?

You mentioned empathy first, but when I mention it it’s a straw man?

You didn’t really address it. You claimed, incorrectly, that trans people had empathy for those people. I then disputed that claim and you started honing in on the order of comments instead of addressing my rebuttal about there being empathy for the people/situations I mentioned.
