I said the brain studies convinced me there’s a biological basis distinct from cis men, not that they proved our “validity”.

What other question?

It’s below my other comment idk how to reword it succinctly. I just find it odd that you can’t produce something that was so convincing to you, if it were me, I’d probably have something like that saved, but we’re different people. Also a bit odd that it’s just this one study, I’d think there’d be a few that back it up. But I guess if you can’t show anything it’s best to move on.

As I said I’ve seen multiple, but I don’t save random articles. If you want a link I don’t have one to give you. If that stops your interest in the conversation, that’s your prerogative.

It’s not that it stops my interest, it’s that you’re claiming something that we understand to have been debunked, yet you can’t show us that despite it being debunked, it’s still relevant. So how do we discuss something that only you have seen, particularly when you can’t elaborate on it?

In what way has a structural basis for dysphoria been debunked? I’m not talking about male v female brains. I’m talking about cis v trans brains, an idea which is under explored but certainly hasn’t been debunked.

You didn’t say that- you said you don’t have a male brain. You do have a male brain. A dysphoric male brain. I agree with that- I disagree with what you initially said.

Eta- I wouldn’t say it’s a transwoman’s brain, as a dysphoric male who doesn’t transition would have a brain similar to a transwoman’s, wouldn’t they? So it’s a dysphoric brain, not a trans brain, right? Which would mean censorship is correct- it leans more in favor of proving mental illness than offering any legitimacy to the idea of a gendered brain of some sort.

Eta again- you weren’t talking about “cis”/trans brains, you were absolutely talking about not having a male brain

“I think it’s at least partly rooted in the brain so since we don’t have male brains”

I didn’t say I had a female brain either. What I said was I've been convinced that there’s a structural difference between a cis man’s brain and a trans woman’s. There’s a structural basis for why I am not a man, so far as I have been convinced.

I very clearly asked you in my first comment about you having a male brain. You could’ve clarified what you meant then, you didn’t for some reason.

At any rate, transwomen’s brains still seem to be male and close to non trans male brains, so I’m not sure what significance being able to detect signs of dysphoria in your brain would have, since many mental health issues are observable in scans. This doesn’t prove you’re not a man, it proves you’re a (word I can’t call you in this sub) with dysphoria.

I disagree, but you know that’s the case.

Of course you do, you just can’t ever explain why.
