The EU was backed by the CIA to be an anti Soviet cooperation.

Europeans don't support NATO. They won't intervene to help other countries under attack but expect the USA to do so for them.

Europe has demanded an end to American bullying for quite some time. It's now coming to an end.

Europeans don't think that US bases defend them. They find that they are only used for military adventures in the Middle East. These create refugees that then invade Europe. It is difficult to find fault with this line of reasoning.

NATO is dead and Europeans killed it.
