He's a complete liar. He's taking credit for American accomplishments. The EU didn't keep the peace for 75 years. The EU didn't rebuild Europe. The EU didn't keep the oceans open for those vaunted exports. The EU didn't provide free security so that Europeans could build lavish welfare states with the vast amounts of money saved on defense.

But the EU has to lie and say these things, because it's built on a foundation of sand. It doesn't value the interests of its own people because it was built to ignore the people and let the smarty-smarts rule.

Europeans have woken up to this and are voting for themselves and the EU is absolutely livid about it. Thus it lashes out and shouts at the people for being stupid and putting their own interests above EU interests. They have only themselves to blame.
