Saw this quote today and it made me laugh. When Emma D'arcy and Olivia Cook were asked to describe the worst thing about filming the successful series, they both said "too many men." WTF?! If any man would have said that on any show, they'd be crucified. WTF is a medieval fantasy show supposed to have? A bunch of non-binary fucktards sitting around making up pronouns? JFC the audience for GOT, this and all the books is men! I wasn't blown away by the series, but I thought it was interesting enough. I was surprised they swapped actresses (I preferred the original two who played these characters for obvious reasons), because it was only ten years. Why bother, the two original actresses were fine and capable. Especially in the case of Emma D'arcy who just looks like Ben Stillers "full retard" character in Tropic Thunder. Go figure she doesn't want to be know as a woman, but hates men.

No it isn't, it's a total chick series. I don't know any men obsessed with GoT, only women. But women sometimes think they want something they don't, shouldn't make a big deal of it. "Oh, you want more female characters. That's nice, dear."

I can't find any solid statistics, but traditionally fantasy shows/books appeal to young men far more than women. I'll warrant the same rings true here, but because of the success of GOT, HBO amped up the DEI meter to a 1000. Still, it's a stupid and sexist thing to say, but I guess it's okay because it's aimed at men.

Funny thing is this idea that women have a problem watching buff men fight each other.

I think GOT appeals to a pretty wide crowd since it's pretty light on the fantasy elements that appeal to nerds and more focused on the drama shit between the various families. That's a very feminine type of sory, even if most of the characters are men. Lots of infidelity and the like. It's basically like a soap opera except with a medieval trapping.

Lord of the Rings is a lot more masculine kind of story structure. Washed up middle aged short dude goes for a very very long walk to get rid of some jewelry. Conventionally unattractive washed up lead, long quest with definite end goal, destruction of jewelry. Hits all the points that the modern male audience craves.

Just more evidence that the left is not anti sexism, they just want the sexism to only run one way. Same story with every type of bigotry there is. Intersectionality is all about amplifying hatred while directing it against particular people.

The woke mentality isn't about having representation as they claim, it's about having their twisted, woke idea of society dominate entire industries... no more masculine men in ANY movie, show, game, past or present, which is why it's mostly adapting and changing existing franchises instead of just putting new stories out there to compete in the market.

In this case, it is a new franchise, so I wouldn't give two shits if HoD made everyone into a black lesbian woman. If they just chilled their fucking activism and stopped shreeking anytime a piece of entertainment doesn't align with their agenda, we would probably still see classic stories, with classic archetypes. I hope this article is right and the industry will start to pull back.

It just seems like a strategic blunder to me. The main demographic for this show is men, and the popularity of GOT hinged on that. Why would you shit on your audience? Trying to teach them a lesson? Fuck that. Add to that, if the stars are out there openly shitting on men, why would anyone want to watch season 2? I'm out. Season one was mediocre at best and I'm not supporting open misandry.

The problem with the woke mentality is thinking that doing a gender swap is somehow an interesting plot in and of itself. Take a traditional male lead character in a uninspired cliche plot. Replace it with a female lead character in an uninspired cliche plot. And you still have an uninspired cliche plot. Nothing has changed. Woman just does the same shit the man would have done. Lack of penis doesn't improve the story, or take from the story, it just becomes clear the writer can't think of anything interesting.

Problem is they think "Same exact cliched shit except with woman instead of man" is a winning formula. It's like, what if you remade the little mermaid exactly the same except she's black now? Well she's black now who cares it's exactly the same? You can either do nothing and be boring or do yet another cliched "racism" plot and be boring.

Seeing as there are so few female roles I think non-women should be banned from taking them.

There are plenty of male roles they can do, right?

Right? For someone trying desperately to look like a man, she sure has a bug up her ass about them.

Then they should be having sex with each other.
