Comic: Transmetropolitan

Books - I've been burned so many times by bad hollywood adaptations that I tend to avoid them. There are a few I'd like to see if they were done right, but I'm not holding my breath. Since you mentioned Neal Stephenson (who happens to be my fav author) - A series of The Baroque Cycle would be amazing. Anathem and Snow Crash could be cool too.

Robert Heinlein - Would like to see some good adaptations of his work. The Starship Troopers movie for example was awful, nothing like the book. Time Enough for Love and The Moon is a Harsh Mistress would be some other ones I'd like to see.

Patrick Rothfuss - The Name of the Wind. With all the fantasy series they're doing now, it's not outside the realm of possibility.

Video games - The Bioshock Series, Hellblade: Sesuna's Sacrifice, NieR: Automata could use an anime, Metro Series - to be fair they were books first, Yakuza series - I mean it's already kind of a movie, a live action Japanese adaptation could be fun

Groovy list.

Ya, Hollywood has problems adapting. Key word, SUCCESSFULLY in "What would you like to see successfully adapted to screen?" In a dream world...

Just the other day...
