Yes those articles never tell how many of those ten thousand kids never showed back up so everyone just assumes large numbers are being trafficked. Lots of the teenage kids run away from care homes. Often because they meet boyfriends or girlfriends outside the care system. You get teenage girls in care meet older boys with cars and apartments and they don't want to go back to the care home so they run away. That happens all the time. I'm sure that is how some of them end up belonging to the grooming gangs they talk about but not all.
