The CCP didn't claim this, western media did. The CCP even debunked the wet market theory.

I am starting to believe that China is working with the West behind the scenes on this psyop. Why else would we see so many people dropping dead all over the place in China, and see China spraying streets with disinfectant, but that's not happening anywhere else in the world? Seems like maybe they were exaggerating the seriousness just like the US is.
