This kind of shenanigans in medical publishing as well as in trial ethics is way more common that you'd think. I have personally witnessed papers that fudged the data, recruited the wrong cohort deliberately, switched recovery guidelines after the outcomes, all sorts of shady illegal shit. The industry has been captured, we need to face that and fix it.

It seems that each study against HCQ is completely biased and setup to fail.

In this case it the data was completely faked, and was not noticed by peer-reviewers and not by the mainstream media. In reaction many doctors send in a open letter to protest against the paper. And only later it was revealed that the writers and company involved were fake scientists too.

In a previous case we have an internet query, with a lot of people involved, but with no checks whatever. And the HCQ was send far too late to the people involved.

In the first ever case, a send-in letter claimed that HCQ killed 2x as many people. It was based on a very small, very old group. But in the paper it was clear that the people that got HCQ were close to death, while those that did not receive HCQ were a lot healthier.

Then we have a case of a woman giving aquarium cleaner to her husband and killing him. This has nothing to do with HCQ, but prompted the media to claim that HCQ was very dangerous. The woman claimed to have seen Trump and reacted to his idea, but we later found out that the woman was an anti-trumper. And she was violent and hated her husband. This might have been a murder instead, and is (I hope) being investigated.

In contrast we have all kinds of reports from countries that do not care about Trump, and have found out that it actually works. Especially in combination with Zinc or other products.

I find it criminal to withhold a working medicine from people that clearly need it. But to solve it, we should get rid of the patents on medicine and vaccines. Because of the patents the corporations earn a lot of money for downplaying working cheap medicine and alternatives. Let people decide what works and what does not, based on unbiased scientific research and practical experience.
