Easy for them.

They remain employed and well fed and can afford their own private security in their gated communities.

They're ruling class scum. I bet some of them might even think they're doing good.

Of course they believe they are doing good. Why else should they do it ?

What they obviously don't like is being exposed for it.

They may do it because they are not just paid to but they have active interests as assets or even investors.
