I mean, I don't think that's where it got its name.

" In the 10th century it was settled by Vikings (or at least a small part of it was), and to this day it is part of the Kingdom of Denmark. "

" According to the Icelandic Sagas, Erik the Red chose the name "Greenland" to entice settlers from Iceland. In fact, Greenland has far more ice cover (about 84% of its surface area) than Iceland does, but the southern coasts the Vikings settled are green in summer, and were likely more so during the Medieval Warm Period. "during the medieval warm period."

What more is there to say? Has Greenland turned green out of the current "global warming" yet? No? Then... WTF are we even talking about here. Yes, the climate changes, no it's not especially warm, and yes, it has changed plenty without any possible technological intervention by humans.

Global warming in one word: Greenland

It was confusing and unclear. But your other words helped.
