I could not recommend Mass Effect 2 and 3 enough. Great story, great characters, romance, decisions that actually impact the game. The elder scrolls series is great if you somehow haven't gotten into it by now. The games are huge with tons of love and quests to keep you occupied for dozens if not hundreds of hours.

If management centered games are more your style, or if you really just like building stuff, cities skylines is pretty fun. No real reason to progress faster or slower than you want to. Mods add some interesting buildings. RTgame on YouTube has some experimental cities and are pretty interesting to watch progress.
