I heard a rumor about empires statues showing progressive feminization before their decline. Please gimme sauce.

Please give me the sauce, I'm not sure if this is a rumor or not.

Basically statues from enpire when it starts are manly. They they become progressively more and more weak and gay looking, until no more are built because the empire collapses.

And if it is, it tells you something. Firstly, that feminizing the male population crashes a country. Secondly, the romans didn't have microplastics or cell phones, so it could point to a different source of epidemic effiminacy.

One thing to look at is the ancient Egyptians. Look at the great sphinx. It was originally a lion but they chipped away at the head and made it look like a woman. No shock their empire got conquered by Alexander.

The Romans were using lead salts to sweeten their wine, however. Though i don't think that's the root cause.
