Your post links to a video of people who died climbing Mt. Everest. What does this have to do with what you said in the post title?

It's in the comments. Start at "'someone help them' ... 'not me though'".

Once you all realize you have no chance, an expected value switch flips, and you simply start killing each other because that is the only thing holding you back from taking revenge for the ever increasing misery: hope.

And those were old dead bodies.

No chance? There are some things out of our control, no matter what decisions we make, but each decision builds upon another and another. If we look at existence as a series of events in which we have no free-will over our own actions, then all seems hopeless. If we look at what we do in our personal lives as making ourselves, our families, our communities better, then the rest will follow that path, save the rogue cataclysmic event. As individuals, we can't hope for others to do their part in this improvement if we don't take on that task. Life is not about big moments. It is about the many small ones.

Mortality cannot thwart Divinity's Will.

Free will, in a sense, has been revoked: if you do not comply, Her Divinity Wills your annihilation by the War of Mars with the Magic of Saturn at Her Divinity's Will. All love & attribution to Her Divinity, and all shall obey Her Command, forever.

Ah, mortality. The one thing that we all have in common that makes life precious.

"Mortality is Divinity's Terrarium", and "the meaning of life is Pleasure of Divinity."
