Why are we heading towards a world where rationality means nothing and the supposed ideal human just makes ad hominems against anyone who goes up against the imposed status quo?

Because humanity has always been a species filled with selfish and stupid morons, and to pretend like they're anything else but evolved apes, was just a part of the bigger foolishness all along.

Never put your faith or trust in people. They will ALWAYS disappoint you and let you down. I'm just grateful for farmers/grocers, the internet, indoor plumbing, and AC. As long as I have the necessities, I'd be fine never talking to another human being again.
