Four months, one account. Reddit as a functional website isn't bad; it's just the piece-of-shit, useless, retarded, closed-minded, dipshit people who use Reddit that's the problem. Redditors are legit some of the worst people on the entire internet. Negative, nasty, bigoted (woke), and worse of all, dumber than pig shit. They lack a single redeeming quality or trait about them. They're the same exact audience on Twitter daily, but without a character limit.

I fucking DESPISE the type of people who use and mod Reddit more than literally any other group on the internet, including any far-right extremist. This site has literal Neo Nazis and they're still leagues more tolerable and "nice," and less ignorant and hateful than actual Redditors. I've never been one to bite my tongue, but it's nice to have an outlet online to express mild, not-even-controversial opinions without getting insta-banned for it.

So yeah, having "Reddit without the Redditors" makes Saidit 'pretty dang nice.' Let's just hope none of those retarded dipshits discover this site.

Reddit as a functional website isn't bad

The downvote aspect and hiding downvoted comments makes it functionally bad as a platform for discussion.

Especially the sensible comment that gets 300 downvotes.

I guess you're right about that.

I never thought about it like that, it's funny because it's true. Yeah, (most) of the nazis here wish people other than the straight whites were dead, though they wouldn't kill them since they're more likely to actually follow the law. Meanwhile redditors LOL

Most actual racists and bigots hate a group of people due to negative experiences with one or two bad people of that group, and could probably be redeemed if they met someone of that group who changed their mind about them. Many American Nazis grew up in white trash households and maybe lived around a few low-income criminals and such, forming their biases of the people they hate.

Redditors/woke people, however, form these opinions of hate in a vacuum, and mostly come from upper middle class households without a bit of struggle or real-world problems in their entire lives, all while pretending to be virtuous. There's not a single justifiable reason for them to be filled with such hatred and negativity, given their cushy West Coast, upper middle class, First World lives working at some useless tech company job in their twenties or whatever, and yet, they're filled with more levels of hatred than any far-right extremist. And I don't know too many Nazis who pretend to be good wholesome people, while hating you.

The best description I've ever heard to describe Redditors/the woke was:

"Nazis and terrorists, at worst, just want you dead because they fear you; the woke want to destroy your life to the point you kill yourself because you had an opinion online they disagreed with."

It's extremely accurate, in my opinion.

"Nazis and terrorists, at worst, just want you dead because they fear you; the woke want to destroy your life to the point you kill yourself YouTube because you had an opinion online they disagreed with."

It's true if I think about it. The neo-nazis wouldn't even torture you they would probably just make it quick.

The world got so bad I'm now symphatizing with nazis.

I don't believe in their ideology ofc, for me it's as dumb as wokeism. I entertain the idea of a few ethnostates in america though (which isn't really nazism just a macro-admission of societal racism). What will happen with this approach I described is even the blacks will get tired of their black ethnostate because of obvious reasons and want to integrate themselves on the white ethnostate, which the whites would allow at some point.

Now that would solve racism.

And the situation as a whole would be really funny.

I made my first reddit account, circa 2010ish, because they put atheism on the front page. A subreddit so toxic that it was the first subreddit to double down on its toxicity and get removed from the frontpage after the increased attention made them worse, instead of better. That event, plus the death of Aaron, cemented the site's decline.

I've been here for six days.

When I got fed up with Reddit, I made my way over to Ruqqus. That was awesome for a while until it flamed out spectacularly. I was one of the few posters still there on the last day.

After that, I went back to Slashdot, but... Slashdot's really not set up for the kinds of discussions I'm looking for.

From there, I made my way to Squabblr, which was a fucking nightmare. Then the most nightmare posters left for Discuit, so I tried Squabblr again, only to find it still sucks.

And now I am here.

Welcome! I hope you're enjoying your stay despite the handful of users on this site.

Oops, I wasn't aware of that.

[–][deleted] 5 insightful - 1 fun5 insightful - 0 fun6 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

Around 3-4 years under a variety of usernames, but I didn't comment for a few months after I first found the place, and took several months break not long back. I originally drifted here in the absence of Ruqqus, never was a fan of most other spaces like Reddit or Voat and had more of a background in niche forums and IRC channels, which is probably why I spend my spare time in chat more than the site.

[–]neolib 5 insightful - 1 fun5 insightful - 0 fun6 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

My first account here was created in 2018, but then I left for notabug in Aug 2018 or so. Returned here (with a new account) when notabug went down in Oct 2022.

For a destination.

14 days. Like hematomato, I was one of the few still on Ruqqus to the last minute. I'm still bitter. Fuck them for the way they turned on their users like immature, arrogant twats who cared more about some clique on discord than their creation. Most immature thing I've ever seen since jr. high school, tbh.

I went back to Reddit, and I told myself I could behave and not get banned. Just fun posts, one-liners, and AITA advice. That didn't last long -lol- After I got banned from multiple subs for, really, not even that bad of posts, just mildly based, I looked up reddit alts and found saidit.

I totally agree with mcheetah that reddit users are the worst humans on the planet. But this site is also full of unwashed incels who don't get that they're alone and unwashed because they think women are cumdumsters. What reasonable, intelligent, sane human would want to be with someone who holds them in contempt? Its a self-defeating cycle of narcissistic, entitled bullshit. So far I'm managing to mostly ignore them, but that won't last....just like it didn't on reddit. -lol-

The new tab is often confusing. There are a ton of links to nothing; people's names I don't care about (are they ads? dating profiles? what?) and what seems to be (maybe) spam ads. I don't click them so whatever. This site really needs a dedicated content moderator. Or not. Maybe we learn from reddit and never have content mods and just ignore the ignorance.

I will be blocking 1 user who keeps calling people "shills" tho. Very low quality poster with nothing to add to the conversation.

Sorry about what happened to Ruqqus, they really torpedoed the shit out of it, didn't they? Nice to be here though.

Too much tranny politics and race/ethnicity bashing IMHO although some of it might be warranted.

    [–]neolib 4 insightful - 1 fun4 insightful - 0 fun5 insightful - 1 fun -  (2 children)

You can mute subs and block users - just mute /s/RealIncels/ and block /u/zherka, that will eliminate most of incel content from /s/all . Or alternatively subscribe to subs you find interesting and read /s/subscribed page.

    [–]newguy 3 insightful - 1 fun3 insightful - 0 fun4 insightful - 1 fun -  (1 child)

Yes! The block user button is the key to saidit

i think it took me until late 2021 to finally 86 my mainstream social media accounts. should have happened much sooner.

i’ve been here ever since. this and .win

    [–]Musky 3 insightful - 1 fun3 insightful - 0 fun4 insightful - 1 fun -  (3 children)

At least four years. I came here when s/WatchPeopleDie was kicked off Reddit although almost immediately I had stopped reading that sub.

    [–]Site_rly_sux_rly_sux[S] 4 insightful - 1 fun4 insightful - 0 fun5 insightful - 1 fun -  (2 children)

I watched a few videos out of morbid curiosity but some of these scenes are still etched in my brain like that Mexican cartel one where the face of the guy had been cut off with a box cutter. The Starbucks Vancouver stabbing was pretty horrifying too. I think I'll stick to watching cat videos for my mental health.

    [–]Musky 3 insightful - 1 fun3 insightful - 0 fun4 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

The cartels definitely have the worst ones.

Same day as I 100% got Reddit out of my life. About 4 years ago. I post some nice interesting things here upon occasion and exact same upon occasion get thoughtful comments. Other times I get idiots who reply with snarky nonsense but I expect that.

    [–]ActuallyNot 3 insightful - 1 fun3 insightful - 0 fun4 insightful - 1 fun -  (2 children)

    Two years, one account.

I still use Reddit. Less since RIF was closed. I enjoy better democratization of traffic on the internet, but there's a lot of racism, transphobia, and anti-science views here that are chasing off good and rational people.

    [–]VantaFount 2 insightful - 1 fun2 insightful - 0 fun3 insightful - 1 fun -  (1 child)

Man, RIF was great. When Reddit forced them to shut down that was the last straw, for me. I deleted all of my reddit accounts.

    [–]ActuallyNot 2 insightful - 1 fun2 insightful - 0 fun3 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

    Respect.

I didn't delete my account, but I sure as hell refuse to install their app on my phone.

I'm surprised there was a comment about reddit about saidit that wasn't 1984'd lol

Anyway. I been here as long as old as this account is, I think 7 months now. I don't really create alts. I wish I could still talk on certain communities I was banned or on users that blocked me. It's fine though, my frontpage is already full enough most of the time. Alts are for cowards, I'm not afraid to say what I have to say.

I like this website but I wish it was more like twitter. There was some feminists here for instance but they went joined ovarit in the hopes to further populate their feminazi breeding hellhole echo chamber. I wish we had more kinds of people here instead of the usual which are just banned reddit users. The flame wars would be really interesting to watch.

But still. I love this website. The overall old reddit vibe, all the discussions. I even like seeing the usual nazi or racist so I can see people fighting them, instead of the ones labelled nazi/racist on social media which really aren't. Seeing the real thing also prepares me for when I actually see the real thing on real life.

I wish I could still talk on certain communities I was banned or on users that blocked me.

You can create your own sub and reply there to whatever/whoever you want. People who use /s/all/new and didn't block you will see that :)

I've only had the one username, here. I guess I showed up around the beginning of The Panics when spending time on Reddit became insufferable.
For a couple of years, I focused a lot of my time and energy on another project, but I lost interest in that earlier this year. So now I'm back to hanging out here and in other similar sites.

    [–]Site_rly_sux_rly_sux[S] 2 insightful - 1 fun2 insightful - 0 fun3 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

10 minutes, one account. I got sick of dealing with reddit, like many here I suspect.

3 or 4 years. Came here when Voat went down. It's back up now, but filled with people I just want to ignore.

This place is very watered down compared to the old Voat, and has a bit of everything. The experience has been mostly good, but there are of course disruptive elements that will only repeat legacy media talking points, on purpose, in order to derail actual discussions.
