The first one looks like Tom Cruise in drag. The few that pass I think give unreasonable expectations to the majority who never will, which goes to the point of this post.

Hormone levels when you go through puberty matter a lot.

Yeah it's a catch 22, they never pass if they don't transition before puberty, but they don't have the capacity to be making that decision as a child. Which is sometimes included as being part of the illusory "trans genocide."

Yeah. The grim reality is that they often wait on puberty blockers.

How is that grim? Better to have 100 non passing trans than 1 fucked up normal kid who made a mistake.

I agree you have to be sure of your diagnosis before going onto the hormone therapy, and I don't have a better solution than what they're doing.

But puberty blockers themselves have unpleasant effects on development, and it would be better if we could avoid them.

Only a third of sex differences are caused by hormones. 2/3 are genetic.
