What is wrong with paying for awards to give people on Saidit, like what we see on Reddit?

Paying for posts is legit one of the dumbest fucking things ever, and reeks of Reddit soy energy. Like, literally NOTHING on Reddit was worth paying actual money for, and Saidit is empty compared to Reddit (which I like and hope mostly stays that way.) I don't want to use one of those dumbass Zoomer terms here, but seriously, "awarding people for social media comments" is some major "Go Touch Grass" shit; one of the times it makes sense here.
