how come baskets are round and not the court?

how come you avoided all my proofs that the earth is flat? you cannot destroy even one of them

you pretend that made up problems about google earth cover it all up.

try and prove the earth is flat/ball without big government or big corporation being involved in the equation

without the big lies (e.g. google map problems) there is no proof

I already gave you one, hundreds of years ago people smarter than you could navigate our globe, by extending the globe to the stars.

That simply would not work on a flat plane, indeed the entire point of it is based around what is or is not visible, and the angles of what is visible, due to the curvature. It is undeniable that celestial navigation works; if you could figure it out (which I doubt) you could go outside tonight with a sextant, and find your own ass, in the dark.

I'd like to say I have faith in you... but I don't. Sowi.

why is the curvature of the earth formula non-existent in a concrete form?

the north star is always centered above the north pole. given all the earth movement, galaxy movement .. ball earth fails to say how it is so

the south 'pole' (which doesn't exist) does not have a south star, or any star that stay constant ..

you spend your time masturbating with words, truth is simplier, crisp and clear

You're dribbling.

The stars are used because they're so far away they appear not to move. In navigation you can also use the sun and moon - because you need to know the time. Learn, so you cannot keep pretending you're too stupid to understand:

missing the obvious is why you think as you do

nobody is debating if the stars are used for navigation

the conjecture I made was that the north star does NOT MOVE

the 'south pole' does not have a 'south star' .. and in fact there are different constellations over the course the night...

so let me clarify again..

north pole .. sky appears to rotate around north star

'south pole' .. sky does NOT ROTATE around a central point

the fact we use them for navigation is not mean anything to this discussion

You produce the zinger 'North star! Doesn't move!' and in the same halitosis whine that there's no south star, and the stars move? Let me let you in on a sneaky secret... psst... the Earth is spinning, and not on a pure south/north axis. True story.

Logic is not your strong point but let's try again... By viewing the positions and angles of the celestial sphere, ie starrrrrs... we can determine our position on our smaller, INNER sphere. We KNOW the celestial sphere is a sphere, and thus so must Earth be, due to the angles measured. This was known and understood many hundreds of years before you were even born, so stop confusing your inability to understand with an entirely false conviction.

Question for ya, why is the moon round? Why is Saturn round? Why is Mars round? But you (pretend to) think Earth isn't?

A better question perhaps - what would it take to convince you?

explain how the north star stays constant then. what is above should appear below. this is logically.

and thus so must Earth be

best i can find of this 'proof' would be the well theory.. which is explain by light refraction .. which is ignored when needed by ball earthers

i watched ALL MY PROOFS be TAKEN AWAY by odd circumstances...

the guy that wrote the code for nullschool intentionally broke the flat earth map projection in his repository

i took that code and found when he broke it. what does it prove? only that someone doesn't want you to see proofs that are available that don't require conjecture...

you assume we live on a planet, i do not

we live within the imagination of God, and it appears as a plane of existence

i see no evidence that we live on a 'planet' as you say, nothing in our experience speaks to that

Riddle me this:

"Syene and Alexandria are two North-South points with a distance of 500 nautical miles. Eratosthenes discovered through the shadow experiment that while the sun was exactly overhead of one city, it was 7°12' south of zenith at the other city."

Similar such experiments can be carried out across the planet, proving that the angle of the sun changes depending on your location - but that at different locations it can be directly overhead at certain times. By adding all those times and angles you can calculate that the Earth is a sphere which spins 360 degrees in 24 hours.

Is the sun fake as well?
