Why ask how my day is if you just walk away when I start talking about it.

Seriously its very rude. I don't understand why people ask how im doing today then when I inevitably sigh heavily, and tell them in detail about how my roommate Derek ate the last pie that I had been saving for 3 months in the freezer and the bus didn't show up so I got stuck waiting an extra 20 minutes they walk away. Its just so rude to do that. why ask me about my day if you don't care?

I mean it very common in other parts of the world too.For me it is a not a bad thing to say hi or hey I feel less lonely :/
