Good to know.

It's not really the time of the Antichrist, however. We'd know if it were. And as Christians should say about unbelievers:

It’s the “not me” in thee that makes thee precious to me. —Rachel Davis DuBois

We'd know if it were.

We that that have eyes to see and ears to hear know what time we are in. Yesterday at the Neighborhood Walmart, two elderly women told me they thought we were in the end and one said she thought the Antichrist was here now. So even out in public, not just online, I hear people agree that it's the time of the end. Most would agree with you, however, and most also do not believe in Jesus, either, or they believe in "another Jesus" and a "false gospel".

If you want to know what time it is, pray and ask God, the look and listen. He does not want you to be deceived.

listen

That's what we Quakers do - sit for an hour and listen

God isn't telling us what you've mentioned.

Happy Good Friday, BTW.

MASS STARVATION IS COMING SOON ENOUGH.

SOCKS IS BLIND.

SINCE THE DAY THAT JESUS DIED, PEOPLE HAVE THOUGHT THAT THIS ANTICHRIST IS EITHER COMING OR HE IS ALREADY HERE.

WHY WOULD SOCKS THINK THAT SHE KNOWS WHEN THE ANTICHRIST IS COMING?

SOCKS DOESNT KNOW.

Good Friday... Yes, I remember that as being the day when the world crucified the Lord Jesus Christ, which is not a happy event to me but bitter-sweet. I am thankful for his sacrifice for our sakes, but sorry mankind is so lost that it was necessary for him to die for us. And it was the government, religious leaders, and soldiers of that time that carried out the public execution of an innocent man. Not much has changed.... as those with power today continue to kill, steal, and destroy. And most people go along with it, or even support it. Repent if you want to live.

Repent if you want to live.

For what reason must I repent?

Am I currently dead?

If you seriously want to know the answer to your question, listen to your conscience.

Whoever lives in the world giving in to the temptations of the flesh is a slave. When it comes time for the slave to depart earth, he will lack all strength and essentially be dead spiritually, although his soul will never cease to exist. The souls of the dead have no life force, and they are in agony, being aware of their weakness.

Life is available, even to those who are spiritually dead because of vice and sin. All that want to be free from the shackles of sin and death can appeal to Jesus for help. He died on the cross so you could be free from the adversary's control. Those that do not turn to Jesus and acknowledge his sacrifice on the cross are helpless against the adversary and remain in bondage. Jesus promises to save all who call on his name, regardless of their past.

For what reason must I repent? Are you saying that slaves must repent, and that I am a slave? Are you saying that I have 'given in to the temptations of the flesh' and have thus become a slave, so I must repent for that? Are you saying that I am dead spiritually? None of this seems to answer my question because you've not notes what I have done to require me to repent. For example, which temptations of the flesh, or which slavery, or which spiritually dead circumstance would be associated with me? What did I do that qualifies as a temptation of the flesh, or slavery, or a spiritually dead soul? If you imply all of this about me, can you be specific about the very general terms you mention, ragarding temptation, slavery, the soul &c, and what's the basis of your judgement? If you can anwer one of these questions, it will help me know why I must repent. For example, were I to tell someone I must repent, with the argument that I am a slave to the temptations of the flesh and my soul is dead, I still don't know which temptations I am guilty of.

Am I currently dead? You've not told me that I am dead. Instead, you note that life is available. Does this mean that I have no life? If so, you imply that I am dead, because I have sinned. Thus, like the note above, can you tell me why I must repent and tell me if I am dead?

You ask many questions, and I would hope that you are asking for the sake of knowing the truth and not for the sake of arguing. But I already told you that you would know the answer if you listen to your conscience. If you ask with a sincere desire for freedom, then you would know the answer to your question about what specifically you should repent from. You should not ask me, a man, but ask your heart, where God's Spirit will answer you.

We all have sinned. There is no one that hasn't, except for Jesus. I have sinned many times and I repent daily when my conscience convicts me. My struggles are unique to me, and you have your own temptations to overcome. Our physical bodies contain spiritual substances that are impure, so we all have to battle against them if we want to regain our divine nature with its spiritual body, with life and power. Even Jesus, while he was in a physical body, had to battle against his flesh with its desires for power, control over others, and lust for beautiful women, and yet he overcame all the temptations, never sinned, and so became the perfect sacrifice for us, who did sin. He came to save sinners, not the righteous. That means his salvation is available to all, even the worst of sinners. If we receive his salvation, his Holy Spirit gives us victory over our flesh and over the power of the adversary.

Thanks. I genuinely want to know why you think I should repent, and why my soul is otherwise dead. I ask as a member of the Society of Friends (Quakers), because we don't use this language. I also grew up with Catholics, and they don't use that language. For example, if we should repent for something, we must be specific, or else the repentance is meaningless. You note that your struggles are 'unique' to you. There are however 7 deadly universal sins that we should also consider. The other problem is the assumption that my soul is dead at some point. This is problematic for those of us who were Baptised, or had Communion, or do not follow all aspects of the Christian faith, or are not Christian. The other problem is the assumption that the soul would continue living after death if one 'found' Jesus. In short: I consider these notions relatively extreme, whereas the true Christian, the truly Christ-like person, would focus on Christ's teachings, kindness to others, reading the Bible and bible commentaries, focusing on peace and social concerns, reaching God directly through prayer, and all of those standard practices. I worry that there are extreme approaches to Christian concepts. Thanks for your replies. I won't ask other questions.

I genuinely want to know why you think I should repent

You are free to do as you like, but if you want to live you should repent. God will not force you to repent.

God is the source of our life and strength. And God is love. Without love, there is no life and no strength. When we step outside of God's will, we are no longer acting in love, which is sin, and the longer we live outside of his light and love, the weaker we become. The adversary will not tell you this, because he thinks of his followers as his source of power, since he is now outside of God's influx of strength. When we sin, we are serving the adversary. Without our willing sin, he has no power. God is the source of all power and the adversary is disconnected from that source, so he depends on his followers to willingly give them their power. The gift of grace Jesus gives us is the strength to separate ourselves from the adversary's control when we call on Jesus for strength. All who call on his name shall be saved.

I am not telling you to do anything, but I hope you would repent so you may be blessed. It is the very first teaching of Jesus recorded in the Bible, so it must be important.

Matthew 4:17 From that time Jesus began to preach, and to say, Repent: for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.
