Ruqqus leadership was subverted by discord trannies that convinced them to hate their own user base and start manually curating the front page, among other retarded ideas that no one asked for and often vocally opposed. This created a feedback loop of them doing things to seemingly intentionally alienate their users so they could then go in some private discord channels and laugh about everyone being idiots and not liking their big brained changes. Eventually they decided they didn’t want to admin the site anymore, but instead of handing the keys to people who did they chose to burn it to the ground instead. They had a side plan to continue developing the Ruqqus software as a FOSS project, but they couldn’t even do that right and deleted the idea of guilds entirely from it making it absolutely worthless for anyone wanting to make their own online community. No idea what happened to the admins after that, but I like to imagine that the second they deleted Ruqqus they got banned and blocked by their tranny discord “friends” and finally realized that they’d been played.
