Dad and I are saving up to get me to Truck School and by the end of the year will likely be there assuming our country isn't at war or burned up by F-I-R-E-S like what's starting to take place in Central Oregon now.

Right now there is a MAJOR shortage of truckers. Is that a good time to apply for a job involving trucks or take academy classes? We're looking like dump truck jobs or smaller truck jobs not long haul.

I would look at that, possibly welding too. Just be careful with trucker jobs. You have to make sure that you work for a decent company that won't ruin you.

What would you recommend on the west coast? Or what would you avoid?

The West Coast, tbh.
