not going to pretend to be a leftist and apologize for crashing this thread, but i have to ask this question. first i have to say, i don't have a problem with anyone being christian or white or male or female. my question is why does it seem like most of the people who are mutilating themselves feel like they need a trophy when they start dressing opposite their biological sex, exhibiting themselves, the need for 'special days' for those that do it?

why can't those that do it, not make a big parade and just do it? i understand media needs to report and good news doesn't sell, so shock and bad news does, but it's easy to ignore. women astronaut? just be one. black physicist? just show your talent. quit over dramatizing your achievement that far too many people have already done.
