      The Antifas in the street are using the same tactics as the Antifa of the 1930s, the terror wing of the Stalinist KPD.         You say that any true liberal would be repulsed, yet many of my liberal friends call it liberalism. What we see is an extension of progressive liberal policy to its natural conclusion. Any true intelligent person therefore has to understand that the previous applicable 'liberal' ideals that they espoused do not actually function when tested against the real world, and should re-assess their stance.

        Some of the challenges that liberalism faced and failed are:

        Gender ideology. Where philosophy attempts to override reality. Liberalism led to nonsense of 'assigned at birth'

        Islam. Where tolerance meets totalitarian genocidal mania. Liberalism fails to prevent takeover by non-secular extremism.

        Democracy: Where concepts of liberalism face the hard truth that it is not the golden endpoint of social evolution and generations of propaganda and indoctrination has not led to an united populace. Liberalism then turns to rejection of dissenting democratic voices, which is why cities are burning.

        Liberalism failed, and what we see on the left IS failed, true, liberalism.

        If you don't agree with it, then you have rejected the principles of liberalism itself, and should better put your time to building a new philosophy like the rest of us are.

        Gender ideology. I literally am a mental health treatment provider and work treating sex offenders, yet people around me will silence, cancel, dox, threaten, etc. me for daring to give an opinion that’s not approved by the cult.

        What is happening to kids, especially teenager girls, is so disturbing I’m not sure I have words for it.

        Speaking out against porn and “sex work.” Again, I literally work in sex offender treatment, I know well the unfortunate outcomes of the extreme availability, but I’ll have teenagers shout me down like some ignorant boomer.

        I’ve just decided to ignore them all and I cancelled my damn self off social media.

        It would be a much bigger reply than I’m prepared to do on my phone this morning, but the very short and simplified version is that early (young) porn use, and excessive porn use is correlated with higher rates of sexual offenses, and higher severity of attacks. It further fuels paraphilic disorders as well. It normalizes abuse that traumatizes victims.

        That’s not even talking about the ED many young men are dealing with due to porn addictions, or how much they are needing to abuse their partners now to reach orgasm.

        I’ll just note from a therapists perspective, if you want to be a happier person in a healthier relationship, quit porn. It’s doing a number on your brain and you likely don’t even realize it. (Not saying you specifically, this is a generality for everyone.) protect your kids from exposure to porn too.

        Using acronyms such as this, are off hand forms of Newspeak. Don't support the use of newspeak by using them in your dialect. It muddies your message, and dumbs down your own thoughts. Speak them out fully, or your message will be lost to those who support short form thinking. Or worse of all, inline with Newspeak, you will say one thing, and all those who read your comments will interpret your statements to support whatever narrative they already assume to be true.

        Basically anything that the person in front of you's either favourite hobby horse or biggest blind spot is you can't talk about it.

        For some it's trans, for some it's Islam, for some it's Corbyn, for some it's class, for some it's race, for some it's pro-Israel, for some it's anti-Israel, for some it's even great swaves of ideas like culture or biology which are unmentionable without a full screaming tantrum.

        They really have just become completely intolerant and bigoted.

        I remember when tolerance meant actually liking human beings and having patience for their quirks and differences.
