My idea is having 16:9 monitors because i am now so used to this format that i cannot see any good reason to change it just now. The four ones i want on my desk are to look at 4 different desktops at the same time. I wanna be able to flip the the outer ones to easier lock at tmux, htop or log-files in emacs. The "big" screen to display stuff for others i want to be like a 60" 4k or something like that. But i honestly never tried gnome with more than two monitors. So i don't know how finely granulated you can adjust the resolution of each desktop when you are using more than one monitor or if it even can be made to work with different resolutions at the same time.

The adjustable stand for these four main monitors we will construct by welding steel tubes together and installing some pressure adjustable air or hydraulic rams (idk the right way to name these things in English) on the stand to make it adjustable and rotatable.

This is because my desk has to be height adjustable too bc. of my back pain when sitting for too long. The rest of the construction plan are basically steel tubes of different diameter and some screws to be able to adjust their length and so the height of the whole thing.

I like your idea to just install some of them (more than the five that will come anyway) by using steel ropes and hanging them from the ceiling.
