"Ostracized" I don't think that means what you think it means. Perhaps "criticized?"

He used that term correctly. Crews was dis-invited/excluded from several social circles, called an uncle Tom, house nigger, etc. This is a fairly standard response towards anyone black that tries to criticize bad culture in the black community.
Terry Crews is a good man, and from everything I've seen a good father. He's also successful, wealthy, and fit. People like him run counter to the narrative, so unless they use their fame to try to tear down the system that got them where they are; they are mightily disliked by the indolent masses of loud black complainers.
