On the other hand, I see a lot of people saying that there's no general consensus and because of that we need clear rules.

You and I are trying to come up with a consensus now, with our discussion. Ultimately the full power of agreement and enforcement is in d3rr and magnora7's hands.

All I see regarding justifications is that you agree with them. We're back to "I don't like it".

Yes I know that "I dont like it" is my only justification for agreement. Mainly because I expect people to know that kiddy fucking is wrong. Is sexually objectifying young people (arguably below 18) wrong? How wrong is it? All I know is that it is not Wronger than wrong but it is still probably wrong. If we could come to a consensus to the wrongness of it then. Well that would be quite a feat actually.

So you judge individual cases based on your personal morale.

(Depending on what country you live in obviously as Sharia Law is nonsense) In western law judges are meant to rule based not only on the rule of law, but also consider the impact on the victim and the impact (usually financial) on the offender. This is also dependent on whether your country practices restorative justice and/or has the death penalty.

If a society rules that there is an age of consent, then this is not always a deciding factor. Mentally retarded people who have no way to consent, drunk people, drugged people. Any participant who can be ruled as mentally deficient will be declared vulnerable. Duress as well.

Its strange to have this conversation considering our community bans porn.

    I'm trying to point out the hipocracy in your reasoning, you argue that your point of view is the general consensus.

    I already pointed this out:

    In my country it is. Ignorance of the law is also a valid defence (i.e. a guy ate a dog once)

    If you want my opinion about this whole affair it is this:

    1. No sexually objectifying anyone under the age of 25 of any gender.

    Maybe I should put this in 'unpopular opinion'?

      Why not just assume that people have opinions about weather they should be objectified or not and say that nobody that doesn't publicly present themselves mainly as a sexual object should be sexually objectified?

      In all honesty, Im just going to throw my "No sexually objectifying material of anyone under the age of 25 of any gender." opinion into the ring and hope for the best. Hopefully some consensus will be reached.

        Hahaha. Im an INTP. I dont particularly believe in the MBTI system, but I know /u/Snow is religiously devoted to it.
