I've read posts on here from some seriously intelligent individuals that I could tell are far above me with the comprehension they have for the way our society functions, what's causing it, and what's to come. However, I feel as though I am seeing the acts and uptick of degeneracy and apathy in our world on a surface level, but what will it lead to?

Take for example twitter, yes I know that this is a cesspool by default but there is just something that makes my stomach turn. A complete and utter visceral feeling when reading tweets from people. Whether it be anti-male / white, pure apathy and hatred for anyone that dares have a different opinion, or even just casual tweets about hating "insert non-protected group". At this rate it's not even political but has devolved into almost a spiritual toxin... At the core of the human being something more sinister is fueling this behavior.

Is it that our society is without god? You may laugh at the notion of religion, believing in "The magical sky daddy" and I know every religion has multitudes of contradictions, atrocities, and bigotry - but what if we just viewed that saying "Without god" as turning away from a basic moral code?

While the entire notion of "human rights" can be argued about - Are they real? Inalienable? Who sets the rules? - Surely there must be a moral baseline somewhere? Surely there must be a line in the sand where society goes from accepting and free to bastardizing and sinfully hedonistic?

Lastly - There is no possibility of a common ground. It simply cannot exist. Oppression can reverse itself and lead to equality, but that equality almost always leads to privilege which renders the others who aren't in the newly found "equal" group as oppressed, because some are more equal than others. Take for example the LGBT community or BLM.

Growing up I never cared about the color of someone's skin or sexual orientation... until I became their target. Until the only way for them to become equal was to demoralize me, destroy my worth (INHERENT WORTH), and villainize me for whatever traits I have that I cannot control. Being white, straight, ect. The notion of us truly being equal cannot happen and since the victims are the new victors - they are dictating our societal fate.

This was just a rant I had to get off my chest because I wanted to know what the others users on here thought. Picking some brains.
