yes. as I understand it the most primitive functions like heartbeat and breathing are done in the brain stem. so if you blow the front half of your brain off I think your body would live a little longer without you.

the real problem is in Africa superstition is a big deal, so someone gets accused of witchcraft or some shit and this is the same outcome. on the other hand they probably do have a problem with getting actual justice for the criminals in their community. I know my life is very different, but I cant really imagine participating/watching/recording something like this.

some crazy scientist supposedly did a study on this during the french revolution. He said that in a few cases the head would respond to their name being called and look in the direction it was coming from. I think after about 30 seconds he said no one was able to respond.

well there really isnt anything about that injury that I can see that would kill him right away. If you can still breathe and dont bleed to death thats totally survivable
