Try watching YouTube videos on any of the Invidious instances. It's not exactly an addon, but it allows one to watch YouTube videos and read the comments (from both YouTube and Reddit) without YouTube's 'misinformation' warnings.

Good tip! HookTube is also good for evading national issues. Comedy Central and SNL doesn't play in Canada because they're promoting the Comedy Channel - but there are ways around it.

I'd use Invidious, BitChute, etc more if they weren't so damned slow.

That they include the comments is very cool. Wouldn't mind seeing that kind of crossover more on other platforms too.

Try watching YouTube on FreeTube. It also allows for the use of the Tor network as a proxy. Although Tor does have its privacy issues, police investigations have found it impossible to trace people through the Tor network (see page 2). Also, its legacy player allows for practically instant downloads of videos, which is very nice.

The only other thing I have heard of is YouTube-dl, which apparently doesn't require any connections to Google (see the HookTube/Invidious section), although this is disputed. I never used it, though, but if it simply downloads videos, I see no reason to believe there would be misinformation warnings.

Why do you particularly want to avoid these notifications, anyway? Can you not simply ignore them? I would advise leaving YouTube because of the privacy nightmare it is, especially when you learn about psychographics (on HTTPS) (on IPFS).
