Figured it was only a matter of time before they scale down the portions and keep the prices the same. I remember in the 90's there seemed to be a trend at restaurants to have these enormous plates. Portions were also large. It seemed they leaned in to the anti-French stereotype of them having small portions. So, the US went in to the large portions of cheap, high calorie food.
