tl;dr: school boards know damn well they are putting graphic filthy material in their childrens' libraries, and they like it. The people of Florida got a law passed that has provided an effective way (sometimes) to get the books pulled as a mandatory measure.

Difficulty: It requires parents to care enough to show to a meeting

The excerpts all used horrifically graphic language to depict scenes of children engaged in sex in the greatest detail: children being raped, prostituting themselves to adults, forced into incestuous encounters, learning how to masturbate, and narrating sexual fantasies about engaging in sexual acts with transgender classmates.

do some people just not want children to become educated? the children need to learn about things.

Sure sure they should all have wholesome loving sexual relations with adults so they can learn about sex, that's what critical childhood studies teaches us
