Democrats are indeed closer to soviet Russia

Perhaps this changes everything I thought I knew about you. For you to believe such an obvious lie is surprising.

Attempting to undermine the private sector? Check. Illegal and immoral wars? Check. Pushing junk science on the people and threatening anybody who points out that it is junk science? Check.

Denial that all opposition to the GOP is communism is part of the communist denial process. Denial of communism is admission of communism. Vote for Trump or you’re a communist.

How are they not exactly the same?

Democrats have all the same loopholes around human rights that the USSR had. In truth, they only want human rights for themselves and people they like. They say "Nazis" don't deserve humans rights...and everyone they dislike for any reason is a Nazi.

Do you really think the USSR was upfront and admitted their atrocities? Of course not. They claimed, just like Democrats, that they were all love and tolerance; unless someone's a "Nazi" that is, because muh paradox of tolerance. They did this even when they had full power, so why would the Democrats, who are currently trying to win people over, freely admit to what their real plans are? And even if they aren't planning this, how could anyone possibly prevent this sort of power being abused?

Of course "Democrats" is probably too broad of a term. But definitely the SJWs and socialist progressive radicals, who unfortunately make up almost all of the party's politicians.

I just don't see how it's possible to consider USSR policy in relation to Democrat party politics. I think it's a false comparison on so many levels that I wouldn't know where to begin with the numerous arguments. I suppose you are seeing these false comparisons elsewhere, because Republican disinformation politics has tried to paint Democrats as 'Communists', 'Nazis', 'Socialists', and as exactly the same as Republicans (the 'both parties are the same' argument). It's part of decades of a barrage of attacks on anyone associated with the Democratic party. There are so many conflicting claims because the lies are also numerous. It's the only way in which Republicans can be elected. They are not supportive of anything beneficial, as they focus entirely on what they are against (anti-democracy, anti-education, anti-voter, anti-environment, anti-climate-change, anti-human rights, anti-fair wage, anti-union, anti-public school, anti-library, anti-teacher, anti-non-binary, anti-women's rights, anti-abortion, anti-middle-class, anti-tax the rich, anti-social programs, anti-veteran, anti-healthcare, anti-medicare, anti-Social Security, anti-Ukraine, anti-gun laws, anti-everything). There is nothing the Republicans want to support that is beneficial to the 99%, nothing at all. If you want to compare this with the USSR, look at the rise of income inequality in the US since Reagan, thanks to Republican-controlled congresses for most of 40 years. Democrats are famous for wanting to spread the wealth - sometimes criticized as "redistributionists". But what's really at issue is that tax dodging rich people should pay their fair share of taxes, and that the quailty of life for the middle and lower classes need to improve, which can happen ONLY with progressive politics.
