Also, calories in compared to calories burned is still the only real tie to obesity. When I was younger, I had a friend who was looking to be a personal trainer and offered to help people with fitness routines. The first thing he asked me was to write down all the things I consumed for the day. I threw the paper away by 11 am after lying twice and said, fuck it, I don't actually care.

When people blame fatness on anything other than a bad diet and an unwillingness to move a lot, it's self denial.
