If I say "I'll pack a raincoat incase it rains when I'm on vacation" .... and then it doesn't rain, and I didn't need the coat....was that a preview, a prediction, or neither?

I think it's neither, and the same reasoning applies to the OP link, it's neither a preview or a prediction because almost none of what it says, ended up happening
