Almost as bad as San Francisco's "Mind Your Step, Human Street Shitting Zone"

How about I just not visit San Francisco? That will eliminate chances of my car getting robbed in San Francisco.

More like San Franshitco.

How about they get their citizens living in tents off the streets instead of putting up some stupid signs?

I kinds feel bad for the homeless but only if they aren't otherwise causing shit. Otherwise. Well, you make problems you are the problems.

San Francisco could do well with a few weeks of martial law. If the smash and grabbers got shot in the act would put an end to it real quick.

People tend to only try to rob you when you're flashing expensive stuff you mostly don't need anyhow.

To impress your hypocritical asshole-pseudo-friends with. Living in the same ignorant delusion of consumerism as you do in this case.

E.g: Nobody ever even spent a second look on my rust bucket others call "car". Even though it is a very reliable and fine machine.

Agreed the basic ideals of not flaunting shit goes a long way towards not being a victim. I've had plenty of people try to tell me off traveling in Mexico or other poor crim ridden countries, and while I'm under no impression that they are safe, generally so long as you aren't an idiot and don't go around broadcasting the fact that people should rob you you'll get though alright.

Then I'm not the type of person to consider a stolen passport to be a vacation ruiner either. A massive annoyance bit you can get another one issued easily enough if you just go to the embassy and give a police report.

I believe the real problem of SF is that even a hobo can afford a .22 but no healthcare when he is addicted to something, exemplarily theorizing.

If we're going to dole out free anything free admittance to mental hospitals and drug detox would be preferable to free smart phones and gym membership. I've no issues with homeless people getting free shit so long as it's going to help get them off the streets out of homelessness and benefit society as a whole.

The reasons there are so many homeless people in San Francisco is because of drugs, and because homeless people get free food, free smartphones, free clothes and free access to Planet Fitness gyms.

What San Francisco should do is for one year, kill anyone who breaks the law. It is extreme. I know. But take a look at what has become of San Francisco, and you will understand why a lot of people would support this law. A year later, results could be seen. Burglaries, robberies, rape and murders go down significantly. Public transport is safer to use. The streets are cleaner because nobody is shitting or trainspotting (what I call taking drugs) on them.

Unironically, it will eventually get to the point where martial law is needed. Which is why it's vitally important to enforce existing laws and public order before it gets to that point.

Having spent three years homeless in San Francisco, I may have an idea or two about this topic.

It is not drugs that causes the problems, but on a deeper level it is the nonprofits that are receiving funding at the local and state and federal level that attracts the drug problem to San Francisco.

People are attracted to San Francisco for a number of reasons.

Maybe they would like be employed by or want to operate their own nonprofit.

Maybe it is the free housing and free money and free food that attracts the drug users to San Francisco.

And now it is too late to stop the nonprofits..

If you take the funding away from the nonprofits, they will form brigades that harass political candidates until they get back their funding.

Oh, my bad, they are already doing that on Twitter and CNN and MSNBC and and and..

I have attended at least a dozen meetings at city hall or other similar places where groups of money hungry people sit around and plot and scheme about how to create a service that would be eligible for funding..

In many cases the actual drug dealers end up controlling and operating many of the nonprofit services.

San Francisco is fucked. It’s gonna take a war to end this.

I've made the case before that these non-profits work like the old lady who feeds pigeons in the park. The old lady likes the birds and wants to be kind to them, the pigeons however flock to her in great numbers and shit everywhere ruining the park for everyone else. People will say the comparison is dehumanizing to the homeless, which it is in a way, but I think it's dehumanizing of the non-profits to dole out food to the homeless like they are stray animals to be fed in the first place rather than getting them institutionalized for their mental health or drug addiction problems in the hopes that one day maybe they'll be able to break free of it.

Course other issues being the rent in San Francisco is too damn high. They're going to have to clear out some of their historic city to make way for high density housing and business developments if they hope to have the successfully low rates of urban homelessness you see in many Asian cities like Seoul or Tokyo.

One would think that a bait car would be a good option for police to catch these people.

Why do some people have to ruin everything? I know they’re more stupid and violent and they congregate over the corpses of OUR civilization, but Jesus don’t they want running water, central heat, food? They’re replicating mud huts of their ancestors.

They want all that shit but won't pay for it. I say if they want to live in the wilderness and fend for themselves. More power to them. Leave them be. If they wanna live in the city, they gotta pay taxes and be productive members of society.
