the thing that i dont like about the gofundme types of fundraising is that these companies can shitcan your account for whatever reason.

why dont people just use cashapp to raise capital?

but dont you have to pay taxes on funds received via gofundme anyways?

also, if one were setup as a nonprofit, couldnt you just receive cashapp?

Maybe, you could still do same with cashapp/venmo but sounds like there would be more tracking there now. Maybe, it would be same either way, but not sure how much gofundme tracks.

I think that you SHOULD be able to use the cashapp/venmo and that it's pretty crappy that they are monitoring people more closely now.

To be fair because of the sheer amount of teens defrauded out of their money by fake causes they do need to monitor people more closely.
