This is a mindset that seems to be being engineered intentionally in the populace. Which may itself be related to the CIA's Project Mockingbird, which is to control the media on all levels and use it for propaganda purposes.

I think this self-defeating victim-rewarding type of culture is also what happened to the soviet union and mao's china, and perhaps partly why things got so bad.

Nailed it. The present has a lot of repetition of what was going on 100 years ago. What we see now looks very similar to the same fascist and communist propaganda that was being engineered back then.

Thanks. I agree and I have heard that what is happening to US media and US news media over the last 10 years or so is very similar to what happened to USSR state media and so on. The overton window gets more and more narrow as the three letter agencies get more and more control over the media stations. Only 5 companies control 95% of every piece of media Americans ever see. Compared to 30 companies in 1980.
