Despite all the media hoopla about the protests, I never actually saw any IRL. It was all on TV, YouTube, or Reddit.
But you know what I did see last night? All of my neighbors throwing 4th of July parties, waving American flags, and setting off fireworks. I even saw several with Trump flags. Fireworks started before the sun set and went on past midnight.
I'm pretty sure everyone here who lives in the US saw and heard something similar. Maybe you even went to a party, or hosted one.
This is the silent majority speaking. I can guarantee you that a radical protester who believes America is inherently racist isn't going to attend a 4th of July party. So look at it this way - the protests might be on the TV, but the patriots are in your backyard (and your neighbor's backyard). Which side seems stronger or more numerous to you?
