I was not familiar with that term, so asked AI.

Morlocks are fictional humanoid creatures created by H.G. Wells in his novel "The Time Machine." In the story, the Morlocks are a subterranean species that live beneath the surface of the Earth in the distant future. They are depicted as brutish and cannibalistic beings who prey on the Eloi, another group of human-like creatures that live above ground. The novel explores social class and the consequences of the division between the two species.

Eloi = My God

Read the book or watch one of the movies. The Eloi are good angelic people while the Morlocks are demons.
