Yeah, I remember reading about this in the 90s or maybe 2000s and thinking how crazy it was. Now it's just another apparatus of the surveillance state that we've become accustomed to. EFF had a list of printers that didn't contain tracking codes, but they quit updating it in 2015 after coming to the conclusion that basically all modern printers have the codes.

Yikes, I'm surprised I've never heard about it until now. Looks like it only affects laser printers though, as implied by the video? So inkjets are safe? Or do inkjets have it too
