Don't agree with the conclusion.

The whole fighting political battles with narratives is woke thinking because they are weak on the facts. Look at BLM/CRT stuff and it's all about producing narratives and storytelling. I saw one CRT guy tweet last week "we are going to win this because we have the best storytellers on our side." No thanks.

The way you counter it is rejecting grand, overarching narratives which make these complex issues neat and focus on solving one problem at a time with solutions which are specific to that case. Rather than looking at the big, confusing world and going "oh dear" you take things on one at a time and support other people doing that in different areas (rather than trying to get everyone to consider your area of interest the most important).
