San Francisco police staked out and then raided a nightclub that appeared to be operating only in the wee hours (2 a.m. to 6 a.m.) and without any kind of license during the coronavirus lockdown.

Reminds me of a club I would go to long ago. It was most packed from about 2 am to 6 am in a city that didn't restrict hours of operation.

It was called Capone's, but did not have a sign anywhere with the name nor a front entrance. It was in an old building behind a cigar store. Access was through an old wooden door in a back alley. You had to knock to be let in by a doorman.

Someone had to show you where it is to know it even exists. They played smokey Chicago blues all night long.

Awesome place.
