Tell me how anyone's life has been improved by software-operated tail-lights. Once again we see an induced "problem" that was physically impossible until this wave of "digitization" occurred.
This is the "management thinking" that's brought electrical power, municipal water and emergency communication to the point where saboteurs no longer have to risk their own skins going places and doing things. Instead, they can sit in their comfortable chairs in Moldova or Bangalore and threaten millions.
All because some "Dilbert's boss" saw a presentation, and accounting wants to reduce the body-count in 'support'.
