And it will still fail to output power, because they are still relying on the gravity based model.

I'm afraid my knowledge of fusion reactors is fairly limited, what's the issue with a gravity based model?

All the predictions keep failing. The scientists believe that the key to fusion is pressure, due to their model. There is another model which is showing a lot of promise, though most have never heard of it. It is called the "Electric Universe" model. Testing of the model has been done in a labratory already. It was called "The Safire Project". While testing the model the project achieved fusion with very little input power. You should check it out. There is a bunch of other crap associated with the model, but the base theories make a lot of sense and their predictions keep being proven correct.
